In this message from our series through Ecclesiastes, "The Key," we dig into chapter 7, where the Teacher lays out one ironic observation after another about how life is supposed to work and how it actually plays out. He wrestles honestly with the problem of suffering, the limits of human wisdom, and the frustration of trying to earn righteousness on your own terms, before landing on a hard but hopeful truth: our brokenness may be our fault, but it doesn't have to be our fate. We'll trace how this "dark night of the soul" connects to Jesus in Gethsemane and to Paul's teaching on the wisdom of the cross in 1 Corinthians.
